Rubber stamped card

Another card made with Hero Arts stamp and emboss set.  I have been having such fun with the images and have a few more cards to share with you.  Here I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags 2 to frame the sentiment and again used the Marianne's Design birdhouse and bird to embellish the card.

Have a wonderful day!

Rubber stamped card

I hope you had a great weekend!  Here is another birthday card using the Hero Arts stamp and emboss set.  I have used a Die namics doily overlaid with Spellbinders scalloped and oval layers.  The Happy Birthday is also a rubber stamp.  I embellished with a die cut bird house and bird using a Marianne's Design die.  The flowers were coloured with Promakers and embellished with tiny pearls.

Have a good day, thanks for visiting my blog!

Rubber stamped card

Welcome back!

Today I am sharing another card made with the Hero arts stamp and emboss set.  This is an A5 card so again I joined 2 images under the ribbon.  The lacy doily embossed layer is an embossing folder from Darice that I purchased from Frantic stamper.  The Happy Birthday is computer generated and cut out with a Nellie Snellen die that I purchased from Country Crafts.  The flourish dies are Marianne's Design.  My corner rounder was used and I embellished with flowers and pearls from my stash.

Enjoy your day!

Rubber stamped card

Hi everyone

Sorry I have been missing for so long.  My Dad was diagnosed with colon cancer at the end of February and had to have surgery to remove the tumour, he is recovered from his surgery and will start chemotherapy soon.  My Mom had to have emergency surgery to remove a spinal cyst and fuse vertebrae shortly after Dad's op. I had to run their household, their business that is open 7 days a week and look after the patients.  So I have been seriously challenged over the last while, but we are over the hurdle, it is getting easier everyday and both of my parents are doing better.  My hubby and children have been incredibly supportive by putting meals on the table when I have been missing, waiting around at school to be fetched by Mom or a friend, etc.

I have been making the occasional card in the last week or 2 as I am no longer working 7 days a week and I've had the last two wonderful weekends off.  This card was for an order.  The background is created with a Hero Arts stamp and emboss set.  I am really fond of this set at the moment and all my cards recently have been made with it.  I stamped the image with Brilliance black and then put it in the embossing folder and ran it through my Cuttlebug.  I then coloured the flowers and leaves with my Promarkers.  The set is A6 size so I had to join 2 images to make this A5 card, the join is hidden by the punched paper and ribbon.  The lacy rectangle is a die from Marianne's Design that I bought from Country Crafts.

Enjoy your week!  Thanks for popping past!

Rubber stamped card

I seem to have a number of cards to upload that I've made but not had chance to blog.  My Dad is not well and will be having surgery to remove a 7cm colon cancer tumour on Wednesday and I've been very busy at work, so not much time for the fun stuff.

This is a birthday card made for Gail Grant.  The stamp is such a cutie from Sugar Nellie and she is coloured with Promarkers.  I've used Grande Nestabilities to cut out the shaped card and Marianne's Design lace die for matting the images, the flower die is also a Marianne's Design die that I purchased from Country Crafts.  The Happy Birthday is an old stamp from Acorn.

Have a great day!  The weather is perfect in Cape Town for the 110km Argus Cycle Tour that takes place annually in our beautiful city.  There are 35,000 cyclists on the roads cycling a stunning scenic route right now and I hope it does not get too hot for them later.

Rubber stamped card

I want to catch up with blogging my Christmas cards as I would like them as a record on my blog and will not remember to load them at Christmas 2012, so please bear with me.

This is a quick and simple Christmas card using a rubber stamp from Crafty Individuals. I stamped it in Brilliance pearlescent chocolate and matted the image onto red card that was punched with and EK Success punch that I bought from Scrapbook Studio in Jeffrey's Bay. Flat backed pearls complete the card.

Enjoy your day and all that you do!

Rubberstamped card

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I had not blogged about Christmas last year and I would be catching up.  Here is the start of the Christmas catch up.  Perhaps I will inspire you to start your Christmas cards early...vbg...

This was my favourite Christmas card that I made in 2011. In non-traditional colours. The images are from LOTV and I see that they launched 14 new stamps yesterday.  It is difficult to keep up as they launch new stamps so often. I am so lucky that a good friend buys a lot and I get to use her stamps.

I used lots of dies for this card. Grande Nestabilites to cut out the base card, lacey and circular Nesties for the sentiment. Marianne's Design dies for the lace rectangle, flourishes and flowers, these I bought from Country Crafts in Gauteng. The SB paper is from W & M and flowers, pearls and lace are from my stash.

The image is coloured with Promarkers that I buy from Joanna Sheen as she does not charge postage and I've added white flock to make the fluffy bits.

Have a great day!

Rubber stamped card

This is the only card I have made this month, a birthday card for my Mother-in-law who celebrated her 77th birthday last week. The folder is called Alfred's birds and the birdhouse is a Marianne's Design's die. I sponged the embossed area and the edges of the card and the birdhouse and used the corner rounder. The sentiment is stamped in Brilliance black.

Thank you Moz for the inspiration!

Have a wonderful day!

Rubberstamped card

Happy Birthday Sandra! This is Sandra's birthday card using a cute LOTV stamp coloured in Promarkers. Again I have used a few Nesties and the flower is a Marianne's Design die that I purchased from Country Crafts.

Enjoy your day which is another public holiday in South Africa!

Rubber stamped card

Today's card is a birthday card for Lee-Ann, her birthday was in October so it shows how behind I am with posting my cards. I hardly made any cards in November due to time constraints and need to start making Christmas cards urgently! The cute images are from LOTV and here I used my new Grande Nesties to cut out the shaped card. I am so enjoying being able to cut large shaped cards! The flourishes are from Marianne's Design.

This morning is Sasha's last Prize giving in Preparatory School and the Grade 7's have their farewell at the Kirstenbosch restaurant this evening. Parents are invited to this beautiful venue for half an hour for pre-dinner drinks and a photo opportunity and then we are off to UCT for Nic's indoor hockey match. Enjoy your day, mine is going to be a mixed emotions one.

Rubber stamped birthday card

My Mom celebrated her 70th birthday at the end of September and this is the card I made for her. She has a beautiful Bonsai Nursery in Hout Bay and loves all things Asian so I had to make an Asian card. The background paper is a digi-paper and the image is a clear stamp from an Inkadinkado set that I purchased from Frantic Stamper
. It is stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Crimson as is the birthday sentiment.

Thanks for visiting my blog, enjoy the rest of your day!

Rubberstamped card

I am obviously in a "blue" mood at the moment as I seem to have been making a lot of blue cards. This is a birthday card for Anne Van Buuren, I hope she received it as I haven't heard from her. I stamped the face/butterfly image on an Isoprophyl alcohol ink background that I made.

Enjoy your day!

Rubberstamped card

This beautiful image is one that I stamped at Amanda's on one of our card mornings, but I cannot remember which company it comes from. This is a birthday card made for Margie Edwards.

Thanks for popping in!
