A selection of photo's taken throughout the day.  We all made a few cards to give Chuck as a thank you gift.  He was thrilled with the big box of cards as he had had to buy cards the previous week and said that he had difficulty doing finding good ones. Don't you think that the murals on the walls of the games room, where we spent the day, are beautiful?  I'm sure that Sue was thrilled, watching down on us and seeing the pleasure that we all experienced spending the day crafting in her honour!

Shamela presented these really cute armchair gift boxes.  Lovely for men's gifts, the box under the seat slides out for you to add the gift.  Look at the variety made by the ladies.

Lynn Cupido arrived back from a road-trip the night before WCMD.  Her workshop was this clever gift card holder make from a C6 envelope folded in half and tied with a ribbon.  Thanks for organising your trip around WCMD Lynn!

Corinna presented this workshop, a cotton bag filled with lavender, stamped with Stazon and coloured with our alcohol markers and then put into a pillow box also coloured with markers and completed with ribbon and tags.

Amanda Harrod presented this stunning bird house, I am rather partial to bird houses at the moment.  The beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts.

Lee-Ann presented this beautiful flower pot card, the flowers pull up to reveal a card beneath them.  Lee-Ann and I bought our Cameo's on the same day and she use it for cutting out her flowers and leaves.  Quite a task to cut enough flowers and leaves for 13 ladies!

Margie, Sue's sister, presented the next workshop.  Margie also came down from Johannesburg for the occasion.  The asian card was done at Sue's request as she had planned to make one for her workshop, beautiful Washi paper!  Thank you Margie!

World Card Making Day

Our special friend Ann Erler flew down from Johannesburg to join us at this year's World Card Making Day.  She did this wonderful resist technique.  The background was pre-stamped and then we stamped and embossed with embossing powder - something I had not done for a long time and then used Tim Holz distress pads to colour the parts that were not embossed.

She also showed us how wonderfully your foam trays that one gets meat, fruit and veggies in turn out when put through the cuttlebug with an embossing folder or a die.  These can then be coloured with various stamp pads/inks.  Thanks for the great recycling idea Ann!
