Birthday treasures

Sorry this card did not photograph well. I am finding that it is not easy to take photo's in the winter sun as there always seem to be shadows on the cards and in Cape Town we don't always have sunny days in winter.

Margie Edwards from Stamp 'n Stuff made this lovely birthday card for me.

Have a wonderful day!

Birthday treasures

This cheerful card is from Sandra Kingswell. I very seldom use yellow and yet it is such a "happy" colour, I must make an effort to make more yellow cards.

It is my dear husband Neil's birthday today, so I had to bake lots of cake yesterday and we are having friends for dinner tonight so I am cooking "up a storm".

Have a wonderful weekend! I am so looking forward to it as I am feeling exhausted.

Birthday treasures

One of my favourite themes is butterflies and I have been thinking lately that it is a long time since I last made a butterfly card, I really must make a few again.

Gail Macaulay sent me this beautiful birthday card, thank you Gail!

Thank you for popping in to view my blog!

Birthday treasures

Well my birthday is almost here. When I wake up tomorrow I will be a year older, I can believe how fast this last year went. Tilly made the birthday card that I am featuring today. I love her style. Check out her blog under South African stampers. She is an ex South African living in New Zealand.

I received this stunning card from Claudene. The attention to detail is amazing, so I have taken a few close ups of it so that you can try and get a feel of how beautiful it is. Thank you Claudene for spoiling me with this beautiful work of art.

Birthday treasures

I am feeling a bit sad that our Soccer World Cup 2010 is over as South Africa has been an amazing host country, I am a very proud South African! Congratulations to Spain!!!

It is a few days to my birthday and I have been so spoilt already. You may have noticed that I am posting everyday in an effort to get through a lot of my birthday cards received during my birthday month.

Sandra made this lovely creation in purple. Beautiful beaded lace embellishes the card.

Birthday treasures

Hello, I'm back after a few week's break from blogging. Thank goodness one can "post-date" blog entries which I did with a few whilst I was away. Our family went to Plettenberg Bay and Jeffreys Bay for an 11 day winter break. We had wonderfully relaxing, quality family time and I even had the opportunity to do some rubber stamp shopping at Cariena's great shop, if you are in Jeffreys Bay it is worth popping in to visit her.

I was so keen to blog about the fabulous Soccer World Cup that South Africa are hosting before I left but unfortunately time did not allow it. The quarter finals have started and our family will be doing the "Fan walk" on Saturday so I will do a blog post after that.

The photo above is the fabulous stash of stamping goodies and cards that my wonderful stamping friends Gail, Sandra, Corinna and Lee-Ann gave me for my birthday later this month. I am so spoilt and blessed to have such great friends!
Their cards will be featured this month.

Have a wonderful day! It is such a beautiful one in Cape Town!
