I am feeling creative but need to complete some more work in my garden that has been sadly neglected this year. I had to make my last project for the Digistamps 4 Joy Design Team challenge which will be posted at 8am tomorrow morning, so I managed to squeeze in some creativity today which was a relief as it was very hot again. Please pop in again tomorrow to see what the DT and I have in store for you. Mel will also be announcing her new DT members.

Our stamping group met here last night for our annual Christmas party. We had a lovely supper and exchanged gifts, it seemed like just a short while ago that we held the last party.

Thanks Shereen for kicking off the weight gain programme before Christmas with some sweeties and lovely pink and red flowers.

Sorry I have been a bit scarce.  Christmas preparations, the children's summer holiday and Neil taking 4 days leave from work have kept me away from the computer.  I caught up with the advent gifts that I had not yet opened this morning.  My bowl of unopened gifts looks very sad and serves as a reminder that Christmas is very close.  I finally finished decorating the Christmas tree and putting up the lights on the outside of the house yesterday, just in time as I am hosting our stamping group Christmas party tonight.  I will post photo's later in the week.

Have a wonderful day, it is a stunning one in Cape Town 33 degrees Celsius and sunny with no wind.  My thoughts are with my friends in Europe that are experiencing very cold and snowy conditions.

Thank you Rosemarie for today's lovely gift, ribbon is my favourite and I have very little yellow, so this will be put to good use as I try and make cards that are out of my usual colour range.
I have been in the garden the whole day, since 6.30am, revamping flowerbeds and pots.  We have had such tremendous wind and hot days lately so I had not embarked on this task, my back is objecting now so I've had to call it a day but I achieved a lot as today is cloudy.  Enjoy the rest of the day!

I've managed to get the Christmas tree up and most of the gifts wrapped (thanks to Neil who took the kids ten-pin bowling today).  I just have to do the lights on the outside of the house which is such a big job and I am really procrastinating about it this year, hopefully my family will help with it tomorrow.  At least I feel that the Christmas preparations are almost there.

We received a wonderfully useful gift today from Moz, it is perspex, has a sliding lid and 12 compartments, thanks Moz - now to decide what to keep in it!  The gift was accompanied with a stunning Christmas card and beautifully co-ordinated in pink and green.

I have hosted the advent swap for many years and think that this year's one is certainly the best we've had with the ladies making a huge effort with the gifts and wrapping.
