World Card Making Day 2010

Gail Grant

The second workshop held on World Card Making Day was presented by Gail Grant.  I always battle to make men's cards as I am into pretty things and you cannot use pretty goodies on men's cards.  This is a fabulous idea for giving cash, gift vouchers or treat vouchers from the children and the wallet looks so realistic even down to the stitching.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!  Winter is still here in Cape Town.

Rubber stamped card

Spring is in the air in Cape Town today, gorgeous clear blue skies.

Neil's Dad celebrated his 85th birthday at the end of August and I realised that I really need more stamps for men's cards.  I used this great Crafty Individuals stamp which I inked in Brilliance Pearlescent chocolate and again my W&M paper has come in useful.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Birthday cards for men

Thank goodness it is Friday, it has been a long week! I am sharing a birthday card for a man with you today, I very seldom seem to make cards for men. The main image is scrapbook paper which is overstamped it with Memories brown and various rubber stamps from a Frantic stamper grab bag. The suitcase image has been cut out of brown card and 3D'd with a bag charm

Birthday Card

Hello from a cold, wet Cape Town - a good day to get some stamping done, if there wasn't so much else to do! Nevertheless I am hoping to continue making my 24 "Perfect in Pink" ATC's at some stage today. This is a swap that I am hosting in aid of Breast Cancer awareness month in October and I hope to get the swaps back to everyone at the beginning of October.
Here is a masculine birthday card. As you know, I love ribbon, lace and pretty embellishments, so I always battle with men's cards. The folded cardstock is beige with a dark brown layer on it. I used a Cuttlebug die/embossing combo to make the stunning leaves in gold and terracotta card and these are mounted onto the brown. The image from Crafty Individuals is stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent chocolate on beige card and matted onto gold card this is layered over the leaves.
