Digistamped card
It is our 17th wedding anniversary today and I cannot believe where the years have gone.
I participated in the Christmas twisted easel card swap in pink white and black last year. One of the participants withdrew at the last minute and I agreed to take her place as it is awful to get your own card back because someone let the group down. I was so pleased that I was able to join in!
I used digistamps as my time was so limited, I coloured them in Promarkers and used a bit of Plaid in the centres and a Sakura Gelly Roll pen on the berries. The sentiment is from LOTV and the dies are all Spellbinders.
Can you believe that in the rush to send the 10 cards off I forgot to take a photo and had to make this extra one but I used it to send to a friend so it was not wasted.
Enjoy your day and thank you for the kind comments that you leave on my blog!

Club night Christmas party
Our monthly stamping club night ladies celebrated Christmas 2011 at Corinna's house. Sandra, Lee-Ann, Gail, Corinna, Michelle and I were there. We exchanged R20 gifts and had a lovely Christmas snacks and drinks evening. My gift to the ladies was a selection of doilies with a Christmas chocolate on the outside of the packaging.
Have a happy day!

Christmas workshops
These were the ideas presented by the other club night ladies at our 10 minute Christmas workshops evening. The Santa was presented by Lee-Ann, beaded angel by Corinna, Gift bag by Gail and the tea-light holder by Sandra.
My 76 year old Dad has not been well recently and is having some scopes today, so please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Enjoy your day! Thanks for popping in!

Christmas decoration
Here is a Christmas decoration that I made as a quick workshop with our club night ladies in October last year. We each had a turn to do a workshop and I will be sharing the rest of the ideas with you.
I used my Fleur De Lis Spellbinders die cut out twice and glued together to look like a snowflake with a ribbon for hanging in between the layers. The image is a digistamp that I won from Shelly's Images and he is coloured in Promarkers and matted onto a scalloped circular Nestie. His bell is glittered with a glitter pen and a bit of hologram bling adds a sparkly touch,
Have a wonderful day!

Featuring friends
As we gear up for the last day of 2010 and prepare to usher in 2011 tonight I am sharing a Christmas decoration with you. Instead of making us cards Sandra made us this gorgeous little felt Father Christmas which I had to show you before we take the Christmas decorations down when the 12 days of Christmas are over.
Have a great New Year celebration, stay safe and don't drink and drive! Chat to you in 2011.

Featuring friends
Hello again! Today I decided to feature my top 3 favourite Christmas cards received. Thank you ladies for thinking of me and sending me such beautiful cards.
The card above is from Amanda Harrod, I just love that cute stamp and the "fluffy" glitter on her hat, scarf and coat.
Sharon sent me this cutie, so beautifully coloured!
Gail made this stunning snow globe with my favourite fleur de lis Spellbinders pendant.
Thank you for popping by and taking the time to read my stories. Have a wonderful day!

Christmas Twinchie
Hayley hosted a Christmas Twinchie swap in November, I received my twinchies on Christmas eve and have only had a chance to look at them today and hope that all the participants have received theirs so I am uploading mine for you to have a look at.
Christmas decoration
Our project for last month's stamping group get-together was to make a Christmas Inchie cube. I used a variety of stamps on each face of the cube, the Father Christmas is a PSX stamp. The background is made with Adirondack Acrylic Daubers.
Have a wonderful day, we are in for a sunny, windy one. Thank you for popping by!

Christmas card
Hello, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas if you celebrate or a great long weekend if you don't. I am sharing a couple of Christmas goodies with you today, better late than never. I need to get cracking on making some birthday cards this week so will post them later in the week.
This card is made with an Artistic Outpost Father Christmas stamp that I purchased from Cariena Basson, her link is in the right hand column. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and the flourish from Marianne's Designs purchased from Joan's Country Crafts.

Digistamps 4 Joy Design Team Challenge
Welcome again to a new Digistamps 4 Joy challenge, the last one for the year and my last one. I have made the difficult decision to not renew my DT commitment for another term as I need to attend to other matters but please continue to pop into the Digistamps 4 Joy blog to see what Mel and her new Design Team are up to.
The challenge is simply "Anything goes". A really easy challenge for you to enter, so why not jump in and enter a project, you stand a chance to win 3 digistamps of your choice. Pop into Digistamps 4 Joy too see all the lovely images available.
I finished putting up my Christmas tree on Sunday. We have a lovely big tree and I have collected Christmas decorations from all over the world and crafty friends have made me some beauts. It is a nostalgic task for me as I am reminded of shopping at Harrods, in China, Knysna and many other favourite holiday destinations as well as the many special friends whose work also gets hung on the tree. So I decided to make a quick and easy decoration today. If your tree is looking a little sparse why not create your own quick tree ornaments. For this one I used the Fleur De Lis spellbinders die cut out twice from thick card, I glued the ribbon between the 2 layers and offset them. One of my favourite images from Digistamps 4 Joy called Starkeeper is the focal point and I coloured her with Promarkers and cut her out with a circular Nestabilities. She is matted onto a red scalloped Nestie circle and to finish off the ornament I added some tiny bling flowers that look like stars and will catch the light from the Christmas lights.
Have a great day! I am off to plan our Christmas Day lunch and draw up the food shopping list for the long weekend.

World Card Making Day 2010
My darling daughter, Sasha, presented a workshop at World Card Making Day. I was somewhat surprised that she was keen to do one. She made a Christmas tree ornament using the Spellbinders Christmas stocking that she cut out in felt. The stocking is glued or stitched together and stuffed with cotton wool. She embellished the stocking with a Marianne's Design die cut flourish on the one side and a few Jeart snowflake dies cuts on the other side. You can also wrap a little 'gift' and stick it into the top of the stocking.
Have a happy Tuesday!

Digistamp Christmas card
Hello from a very enthusiastic card maker, I am so motivated I cannot find enough time to make all that I want to and some of my duties are being neglected. I have to catch up with them today.
I had a lot of fun making this card, it is the first easel one that I have tried. The Santa is a digistamp from Shelley's images, coloured with Copics and Tombows. The edges of the papers are sponged with Distress Ink Antique Linen and the candy cane is also coloured with the same ink.
Winter is back with cold and wind, ideal stamping weather. Have a happy Thursday!

Digistamp Christmas card

Do you know that it is 134 days to Christmas? So here is another Christmas card using the St Nicholas image that I won from http://www.shellysimages.com/ to hopefully give you some ideas and inspiration. I have used circular Nesties and Fancy tags from Spellbinders. The edges of the circles, tags and decorative paper have been sponged with Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate. This is a good way to build up a little stash of Christmas cards by making 1 a week, although it won't be enough, but it is a start!
Thank you for popping in, have a happy day!

Digistamp Quick Christmas card
Yipee it is Friday!! I had a wonderful start to my week when I opened an e-mail from Shelly at http://shellysimagesblog.blogspot.com/ to say that I had won her lucky draw for July which was a digi image of my choice. Thanks so much Shelly! Why don't you rush over to her site and enter her draw for the August Freebie?
I chose Santa as I always find if I can cut corners and do things quicker when making Christmas cards it always helps. One of the fabulous things about digi is that you can printout any size that you want. This Santa is such a gorgeous one, he is matted onto red and then onto gold Cuttlebugged card made with the Holly Ribbons A5 folder. The Christmas tag was a freebie from http://misscutiepieinspiration.blogspot.com/ that I downloaded last year and the flower and bling is from my stash.
Watch this space for more cards with Digi Santa as I plan to use him a lot in the run up to Christmas.
I am busy planning our World Card Making day get-together which is on Saturday 2 October this year. It was such a fabulous event last year! Let us know what you are doing in your area.

ATC Christmas
I forgot to blog this Christmas ATC that I made for a few friends in December. The stamp is from Crafty Individuals and is stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent chocolate, the edges are sponged with red and it is mounted onto copper card and then onto white base card. The braid is embellished with pearls and red diamante.

Christmas Advent swap 2009

Here are some photos of the swapping out of the advent swap that I have just hosted. We had 31 participants who will start opening craft gifts on 25th November and end on 25 December. It is a huge task to sort out the swap and every year I say that I will not host it again as it is a nightmare when participants do not adhere to the swap guidelines, but I must be a glutten for punishment. My daughter helped me this year which was an enormous bonus as it is a hectic to ensure that the 900 gifts are sorted correctly. Each person sends me 30 gifts, wrapped all the same and containing the same set of crafting goodies, I then swap them out so that they receive 30 different gifts from 30 other people and each gift is numbered with the date that they open it. It is such fun to receive goodies for our hobby. I will post photos periodically as we open up our gifts in the build up to Christmas.

Christmas card
Amanda demonstrated this very clever Christmas card at WCMD. The pop out inside contains a Christmas tree made from honeycomb paper. I have not seen it in South Africa, so if anyone happens upon it please let me know. The cover of the card was embossed with a Sizzex embossing folder - very similar to the Cuttlebug folders.

Christmas card
Happy Monday everyone! Hope this is a fabulous week for you! I am busy preparing for our stamping club night that I am hosting tonight and need to get some baking done today. I am also getting ready for a World Card Making Day get-together that I am hosting on Saturday. I haven't done any card workshops for years so am really looking forward to learning lots of new things.
Another Christmas card but this time I have changed the colour combo. Here I have used the PSX stamp again and stamped it in silver on blue card. The image is matted onto white and blue. I computer generated the Christmas wording, layered it onto the blue folded card, mounted silver broad net ribbon over it and adhered a silver glitter snowflake Christmas decoration to complete the card.

Christmas card

It is the start of our Spring school holidays today, I really enjoy the holidays as it gives us a chance to catch our breath as the kids are so busy with sport, ballet etc everyday during the term.
I think that I will continue on the Christmas theme for a few days and hopefully inspire some of you to start your Christmas cards early. I made this one a couple of years ago, it is a really quick and simple card. I stamped the Autumn Leaves flourishes with silver Encore Metallic ink directly onto the black folded cardstock. The gorgeous little trees and "decks the halls" wording are stamped in black Brilliance onto red card, the clear stamp set is from Memory Box. The centre tree is decorated with Stickles glitter glue. The red card is matted onto white and mounted onto the folded card with a little strip of glittery lace. Computer generate a white inner and stick it inside. Sorry that the photo is not clear.
Have a great stamping day! Today I am going to start making 21 "For the Boys" ATCs for a swap. I have so many swaps on the go at the moment and want to get ahead before the hectic 4th school term hits us.
