Digistamped card

Welcome to visiting friends and new followers of my blog, it is great to have you join us!

The deadline is looming for the challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon's blog, so here is another entry and I am working on some more.

This cutie is a freebie Precious Moments digistamp and I just had to turn the new Nellie Snellen die cuts into an easel card.  This nested die set is so dainty and pretty, don't you think. I am thrilled that we are able to buy the Nellie Snellen range locally at such good prices, thank you Joan's Country Crafts!

Here is a close up of the inside of the card with a LOTV sentiment, lace, pearls and flowers.

Have a great day!  It is barefoot day, the idea being that you need to spend the day barefoot so that you know how the many people that don't own a pair of shoes feel.  We also had to sponsor a pair of shoes for the children attending the new Westlake Primary school that opens on Monday.

Rubber stamped card

Lee-Ann introduced us to the side-step card at our monthly evening stamping get-together where we all take it in turns to demonstrate exciting new projects.

I decided to make mine on a cupcake theme.  Isn't the image cute, our little cupcake madam is from LOTV, she is coloured with Promarkers and a Sakura Gelly Roll stardust pen adds a little sparkle.  The tiny cupcakes and wording are from an Impression Obsession clear stamp set and the large cupcake is a red rubber foam mounted Impression Obsession stamp purchased from Frantic stamper.  The cupcake embossing folder is such fun too.

This is another of my entries to the following challenges:

Digistamped card

As you probably know by now I am passionate about using ribbon and lace on my cards.  I have been enjoying following the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog for a while and this week's challenge #21 is just up my street.  You need to "Use Dies or Punches and Ribbon" on your project to create a card, layout, multi media piece, tag, ATC, hair bowor anything you fancy. Just be sure to follow the theme above and use ribbon/lace or trim somewhere on your project.  There is a Whiff of Joy stamp or $10 Really Reasonable gift voucher up for grabs.  The deadline is 13 April.  So hurry along and join in the challenge and pop back later in the week to see my other entries.

I discovered this gorgeous range of digistamps this week and just love cute stamps with beautiful faces so the Wee range of stamps fits the bill perfectly.  I have used a Martha Stewart doily lace punch, scalloped and plain circle Nestabilities, my new Nellie Snellen circular lace and flourish dies and a Punch Bunch tiny leaf.  The wording is from Lily of the Valley.  The card is embellished with flowers, 2 different ribbons, lace and pearls.

I was able to spend some time surfing the net yesterday whilst Neil was watching world cup cricket and I found a whole lot more challenges that this card can be entered into.  I am astonished that there are so many challenges out there.

Digistamped card

Yay it's Friday!  A beautiful Spring day has dawned in Cape Town.

Teddy stampers are having a sketch challenge for another week and Sasha found this cute freebie digistamp that she just had to download, so I used it on the card that I have entered for the challenge. I just love the dies from Marianne Design that Joan's Country Crafts are bringing into South Africa and I have used LR0130 on my card.

Hope you have a fabulous day and weekend!  I am spending the morning tomorrow with some stamping friends and am so looking forward to it!

Digistamped card

Late yesterday I discovered a challenge at Shelly's images.  She gave us this shoe freebie and by entering a card you can win a fabulous prize from her store.  As the challenge ends tonight I am doing my second post in one day, which doesn't happen often.

Congrats to Ursula Uphof on winning Shelly's lucky draw this month, enjoy your break in the Netherlands Ursula!

The rain and cold have continued all day but as I heard on the radio earlier it is not strictly Spring Day until 21st September when the Spring equinox is here.

Have a great evening, I am planning to finish my 28 Pink Heart ATC's tonight.

Digistamp Birthday card

It's my birthday and as I get older I cannot believe how quickly the years pass by.
I am sharing a birthday card that I made for Lauren. A very kind blog friend, Sharon http://sharonskardzkorner.blogspot.com/, sent me a pile of images with a beautiful birthday card that I will feature tomorrow. When I saw this image I immediately thought of Lauren as she has a passion for cats, so I got to work straight away to make this card for her. I really enjoyed making one card as all I seem to do lately is make large numbers of cards all the same for swaps.
I have entered this card into the Craftalicious birthday card challenge. http://craftaliciouschallenges.blogspot.com/ and the Ginger Snaps challenge http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/2010/07/gc62-spicy-supply-challenge-markers.html and “Stamp Simply #148 - A CAS Sketch” http://notimetostamp.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2010/07/15/stamp-simply-148-a-cas-sketch/so hold thumbs for me.
Thank you for visiting my blog! Keep warm!
