Rubber stamped card

Gosh the weekends seem to arrive at a rate of knots.  I seem to be in a pink and purple mode at the moment. Must have something to do with the CANSA cards that had to be in those colours.

The stamp is from Penny Black, she is stamped in Brilliance black and I purchased her from Shamela.  I have used on of my favourite Cuttlebug "toys", the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis pendant and loads of pearls to embellish my card.

Easy Craft Projects http://ecpchallenges.blogspot.com/ are having challenge #19 with a "girly" theme.  Just up my street so I have submitted this card to the challenge.

Have a great weekend, the weather in Cape Town is miserable, just perfect for card-making.

Rubber stamped card

What a glorious day in Cape Town today, it reminds us that Summer is around the corner, but I am sure we will have some more cold wintery weather soon.

We have a very special stamping friend in Durban called Lela.  Her dear husband George celebrated his 90th birthday yesterday and they celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary later in the month.  This is the card that I sent to them for both occasions.  The butterfly stamp is from Crafty Individuals and the wording stamp is from an Inkadinkado inchie set.  I have used square Nestablilities, rectangular Nesties and the Fancy Tag die from Spellbinders.

Another Durban friend Hayley has just started a blog, so pop on over to have a look at her beautiful work,  her link is under South African Papercrafters.

I have been spring cleaning my office and have re-organised my Spellbinders so that they are more accessible.  Each set is now on a ring and hanging on cup hooks under a shelf.  So maybe they will be used more often now.

Have a wonderful day!

Chunky Book pages

Happy Monday everyone!
Here is the reverse of my chunky book page. I always like to put a quote to ponder on the back of my page as it makes paging through the completed book very interesting and sometimes entertaining. This quote is from an unknown author and reads: " Sure God created man before woman. But then you always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece."
The rose background is a Photo stamp from Darkroom Door stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid. The quote is printed onto Lables 11 Nestabilities and the beautiful scrolls are from the Spellbinders Fancy tags set and embellished with pearls.

Birthday card

I am so looking forward to a quieter weekend as I've had a stressful week.

This is a birthday card I made for Sandra in December. I had fun playing with my Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Die, lots of flat backed pearls and a new Crafty Individuals stamp.

Christmas Vintage chunky book

Well all my Christmas decorations are packed away and the outside lights are down, it took me about 5 hours yesterday to do the task, so I had better post my chunky book page quickly. I participated in a Vintage Christmas chunky book last year and was asked to make the cover for the book, I enjoyed making this one even though I had to make 25 pages all the same.
The base card is cream with the edges sponged with Pearlescent chocolate Brilliance ink. The images are stamped in the same Brilliance and are from Crafty Individuals. On the outside cover I have matted the image onto dark green card, then onto a red Spellbinders pendant cut out of red card, this is mounted onto digital music with torn and sponged edges and lastly onto a brown card layer before being attached to the main page. The front is finished off with pearls.
The inside page shows another Crafty Individuals image sponged with Colorbox Cranberry and mounted onto green card, then mounted onto red card that has been Cuttlebugged with the holly folder, the page is finished off with an antique green flower with a pearl in the centre.
Gosh, I cannot believe how fast this year is going already. Have a great day!

ATC - "E" is for Elegance

I really enjoyed making this set of 6 ATC's for our club night this week. I used a Great Impressions stamp of a beautifully elegant dress that I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Ink and coloured it with white Lumieres. The image was matted onto black and then onto the white ATC. I used a Spellbinder Fleur De Lis Shapeabilities in my Cuttlebug, which I cut and embossed in black card and then cut the lacy square in half and glued it to the left hand side of the ATC. The design is embellished with lots of little flat backed pearls and a strip of velvet ribbon.
Hope you have a great weekend and get lots of time to be creative! I have 4 swaps that I am participating in and they are all due around mid November, so I have to start stamping up a storm.

ATC - 3D Collage

This ATC is my latest for a 3D Collage swap. I used an Impressabilities for the embossed background. The tag is stamped with Prima newsprint clear stamp and Vivid taupe ink. The flower is stamped with Prima damask clear stamp and Vidid tea rose ink. The flower is cut using the Nestabilities blossom die cuts, it is then stamped, the edges are sponged with the same ink, crumpled up and re-opened and assembled with a small punched out flower and half pearl in the centre. The card is finished off with silk flowers, half pearls, lace, fibres and punched leaves as shown in the photo.
I have been stamping up a storm lately. Cape Town has been very cold and wet - just the perfect stamping weather. I am participating in and hosting lots of swaps running up to the end of the year. This week I have worked on 4 different sets of ATC's and hope to finish them all by the end of the weekend - a total of 66 ATC's. I also need to make a pile of birthday cards and get started on my 6 club night chunky book pages. We are taking a week's holiday next week so I want to be finished before we leave for warmer climates. Chat to you soon!

Pastel chunky book pages

These are chunky book pages that I am making for our club night pastel chunky book that will take six months to complete. Every second month we have to make a specific colour page.
