Acetate/Serviette backgrounds

My second workshop on World Card Making Day was this acetate/serviette technique, inspired by Jowilna. It is very quick and easy and a great way of using the beautiful serviettes available to create gorgeous backgrounds.
Materials required: acetate, Mr Hooks Hibuild sealer, serviette, large soft brush

To do: Mr Hooks Hibuild Sealer is a combination of Podge, Gel Medium and glaze. Separate the layers of your serviette, place it on top of the acetate, face down and then paint a layer of the Hibuild over it. The sealer goes through and adheres the serviette to the acetate. Use a large soft brush and work slowly to prevent it from tearing. You can do it smooth or add “folds” in some places for texture. Allow it to dry. I have then cut and scored the acetate and covered this little notebook from Merrypak and finished it off with some organza ribbon and a butterfly embellishment.
