Digistamps 4 Joy Design Team Challenge

The next challenge on the Digistamps 4 Joy blog is to use something recycled on your card.  Three cards submitted to the challenge stand to win free digistamps, so if you want to earn free stamps get cracking, you have 2 weeks to enter and it is really easy.  If you need guidance with submitting your entries please shout.

I really enjoyed making my card with Spring Fairy, she is coloured with Promarkers which I love using on digital and rubber stamps.  The flowers in her hair are flowersoft and Ice Stickles and she also needed a touch of glitter on her wings.  I haven't made a vintage look card for a while so jumped right in with a doily that I sponged with Distress Ink Antique Linen.  I also sponged all the layers of my card and the flourishes with the same ink. The flourishes are die cut with a Marianne Design Die LR0116.

The card is embellished with lace, pearls and flowers that I made with telephone directory pages and tissue paper.  I taught these flowers at World Card Making day last year and had not made them since then.  If you want a step-by-step tutorial let me know. The butterfly is punched with an Upikit punch out of the pages of an old book.  The flowers and butterfly are sponged with Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid to add some colour.

Pop into my fellow Design Team members to see what they have made for the challenge.
