Digistamps 4 Joy Design Team Challenge

Join our latest challenge at  the Digistamps 4 Joy blog where you will stand a chance to win free digistamps.  The new challenge is "Anything but a card" so I decided to make a gift box.  I had lots of fun making my box as I wanted to incorporate a card with it and ended up with an easel card on top of the matchbox.  The scrapbook paper is from Papermania and the Christmas tree from the Digistamps 4 Joy store.  I have coloured the image with Promarkers and a gold pen.  The sentiment is a freebie from Birds cards and I used lots of bits and pieces from my stash.  The drawer handle is a charm mounted onto the drawer with foam tape.  The flourishes were cut with a Marianne's Design die, there is a little pearl star in the centre of the flower.  The layers of paper are shaped with a decorative corner punch and the leaves are punched with a Punch Bunch punch (don't try saying that quickly).

Digistamps 4 Joy are having a Design Team call for the period 1 January to 30 April 2011 for further details pop into the blog here and don't forget to download the monthly freebie from the store, it is a cute little girl this month.

The Design Team are very appreciative for the kind comments that you leave for us.  Have a fabulous day, it is such a stunning summer day in Cape Town!

Thanks so much for the compliments ladies! I don't have a template but can tell you how I made it. The matchbox is a new large Sizzex die which you use to cut a 30x30cm sheet. I then measured the top of the box to get the size for the base of the easel card and then made the easel card that size. You can make an easel card for any size box it is very easy!
