World Card Making Day

Welcome back.  Today we move to the projects completed on WCMD 2012 and I will be sharing the projects that we made on the day.  All the participants need to present a workshop together with kits so that everyone goes home with a number of projects completed on the day.  We focus on papercraft not specifically on cards as most of the ladies are advanced stampers and need a challenge.  I arrived at the  venue at 8am and left after 7pm.  One of the comments from Patsy was that we should qualify for some world record for virtually non stop frantic crafting for such a long time.

A dear crafting friend of ours, Sue Berry, who was so enthusiastic at her first WCMD in 2011 passed away in August.  She had offered to host us this year and in her last few days in hospital she said to her husband, Chuck, that she would like him to host it in her honour.  So a very brave Chuck hosted the day and had his house invaded by a crowd of papercrafters, including Sue's two sisters Margy and Patsy and Ann Erler a dear friend of Sue's and who asked me to get Sue involved in our monthly carding morning.  Margy and Ann flew down from Johannesburg to join us and after our initial tears we celebrated Sue's life and she must have been smiling looking down on us crafting up a storm.

We miss you Sue!
I kicked off the morning making a magnetic shopping list.  I can't live without my magnetic shopping list on my fridge and the family are also very good at adding items to the list if the stock is running low.  I based my list on the Mr Price list that I had.  We made the pink one but I also made the asian one as a sample.  The word 'shopping list' is the first item that I cut with my Silhouette Cameo, instead of choosing an easy project I had to do that, but that is typical of me!

Thanks for popping by, I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  I am working today but am off for the weekend and don't have many plans as the children are in the full swing of exams.  So hope to get some crafting done!
