World Card Making Day 2010

Happy Thursday everyone! Sorry I have been a bit scarce in the blogosphere, life has interfered with my crafting and blogging. This is usually a very busy 3 months of the year for us and boy October started with a bang! So I am apologising in advance for any long absences over the next few months.

I am sure you have heard by now that we had an awesome World Card Making Day celebration in Cape Town last Saturday. We spent a wonderful, fun-filled, busy day with stamping friends.  We enjoyed 9 workshops, lots of shopping, wonderful eats and loads of lucky draws and gifts.

Thank you to all the participants, some of whom presented fabulous workshops and brought delicious eats for lunch and tea. Many of them also worked hard to obtain donations of individual and lucky draw gifts from vendors and made donations in their personal capacities.

Thanks to our supportive vendors Ronita and Shamela who brought goodies for retail therapy and donated gifts. And to Mel of Scrapbooking-Scrapbook and Digistamps 4 Joy who gave us stunning gifts.

We received gifts/lucky draws from Henkel, PNA, Kidz-a-peal, Pick ‘n Pay, Flavorite spices, Merrypak, Scrapbook Factory shop, Deckle Edge, Craftwise, Magic Ribbon & Cards & an anonymous donor and everyone went home laden with gifts and 2 lucky draw prizes each. (Hope I haven’t left anyone out)

Each one of the participants and my wonderfully supportive family contributed to the success of the day, so thank you once again! I’m looking forward to next year’s special WCMD!!
